Slotland Player Blows Massive Win on Moon Property Purchase

Staff here at Slotland.com, one of the oldest and most popular online video slots sites, are still shaking their heads over a recent jackpot winner’s plans for her six-figure win. Suzanne S., known as LOONIE on the site, told us in an email that she invested her prize money in real estate – on the moon.

The slots player, who hit a $147,312 jackpot playing Slotland’s popular Lucky Stars slot machine game, purchased a 500 acre parcel of land through the Lunar Registry, Earth’s leading lunar real estate agency, for $125,000.

“I couldn’t decide on the Sea of Tranquillity region or the Lunar Alps,” she said in her email. “Then I found this beautiful property in the Lake of Dreams area, near Michael Jackson crater. It was a lot of money but I knew I had to have it.”

The jackpot winner’s new lunar home-away-from-home is near the sites of two manned lunar missions and the magnificent le Monnier crater. The terrain is stunning and the property apparently has a phenomenal view of Earth.

“I’ve seen players spend their winnings on a dream vacation, or a fancy car,” said Slotland.com manager Michael Hilary. “But most winners are actually very practical. Most say they’ll pay bills, send their kids to school, save for retirement, things like that. Some buy property – but this is definitely a first!”

“I don’t care what anybody thinks,” said the excited winner. “It may seem crazy to some people but it’s just something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m doing it!”

Photos of the winner as well as maps and photos of Suzanne’s moon property are posted on Slotland’s Facebook page. There’s also a coupon code there so anyone curious about what moon property is like these days can pick up a $10 casino bonus while they’re having a peak.

We've Had a Record-breaking $207K Slots Jackpot Win at Slotland!

When we announced recently that our jackpot had gone over $200,000 many players felt sure it wouldn't be long before we had another major jackpot winner.  And they were right! Last weekend Henry W. won $207,241 playing one of the oldest and most loved slots online, Treasure Box. All Slotland games are tied to the same progressive jackpot but Treasure Box has been luckier than most with four six-figure jackpot winners to date.

The winner said he’d buy a new car since his has been giving him troubles lately. The excited dad said he planned so spoil his children more than usual this Christmas.

Henry W. had read in the Slotland player e-newsletter that the jackpot was getting really big and was overdue for a win. Although he hadn’t played in a few weeks, the time seemed right.

“I’d been taking a break from gambling like I do every once in awhile,” said the winner. “But then I saw about this new Fruitmania slot machine, so I had to try that. And when I saw that jackpot go so long I thought someone had to win it soon and it might as well be me! Course I never really thought it would be me but you never know, do you?”

Although it was the new Fruitmania that drew him back, Henry ended up playing his old favourites as well: Jewels of the Ancients, Jacks or Better and of course Treasure Box.

“The games at Slotland are very different from other places. That’s what I love about them. There is such a variety and each game is very different with special features.”

Treasure Box is an old-style 3-reel, 4 pay line slot machine with a unique bonus fund, the “Treasury”, which increases whenever a Wild symbol is hit. The Treasury is won by spinning the number combination shown below the pay lines. Three Wilds in one line, like Henry got, wins the progressive jackpot.

“I was so pre-occupied with getting the right combination to win that Treasury that I forgot all about that big jackpot waiting to be won – until all of a sudden I won it. Wow – what a feeling!”

The winner said he’d buy a new car since his has been giving him troubles lately. The excited dad said he planned so spoil his children more than usual this Christmas.

You'll Get Lots of Free Spins on Our New Fruitmania Online Slot Machine!

Our new Fruitmania, a traditional pub-style slot machine complete with cherries, lemons and bars, launched this week. Our last few new video slots -- Pearls of Atlantis, Tikal Treasure and Jewels of the Ancients -- have had mythical design themes and elaborate built in bonus games, but for this new game we've gone back to basics. Fruitmania's Bonus Meter is a fantastically simple bonus game that will give you up to 15 free bonus spins.

As usual, we're giving our players some free casino bonus money to take a spin on the new game. The first time you log on between tomorrow and Sunday players you'll find an extra $30 in their accounts. Then this Friday and Saturday Fruitmania ‘Bonus Builder’ casino bonuses kick in giving you a 40% bonus on players’ first deposit, 60% on the second, 80% on the third and 100% on fourth.

Fruitmania is a 5-reel, 15 pay line online slot machine where players can bet a minimum $.20 and maximum $4.00 per line. Payouts are up to x480 for flaming 7s and up to x1500 with that old slots standard, the venerable “Bar”. 5 bars with a minimum $10 bet on the spin hits the site-wide progressive jackpot, currently approaching $200,000 (and considered well overdue by Slotland regulars).

There are 5 bonus features illuminated on the big bright Bonus Meter next to the reels. Spinning "Level Up" scatter symbols lights up one level on the Bonus Meter. Hitting three "Bonus" scatter symbols activate the highest bonus feature reached so far (or accumulated...). When players reach the top level of the Bonus Meter, hitting three "Level UP" symbols triggers Fruit Mania, the highest bonus feature.

All spins are free spins during the bonus round and “+1 Bonus Round" symbols add extra bonus spins. “Fruit Mania x15” is a special bonus combination that activates at least 15 free spins and pays out on any combination of fruit symbols.

“We expected a big turnout for our birthday party, but we’ve been much busier than anyone thought!” said Michael Hilary. “We paid out more in bonuses than we anticipated -- but a lot of people had a lot of fun and that’s what birthday parties are all about, aren’t they!?”
